Filmmaker Mark Andrews is the proud owner of 4 Minute Mile Productions. He is a writer / director / producer who specializes in feature films, short films, television, music videos, and commercials, as well as web video content and live events. His first feature film, Seal Team VI, received domestic and international distribution and sold in five contiinents.
Fast-paced, raw, visually stunning, and hard hitting would be just a few words to describe Mark's past and upcoming projects. His work is diverse, ranging from the soldier at war struggling with his own demons, a political thriller of wise-guys pitted against big brother, to the most deeply disturbed horror story of spirit separation and the afterlife. Mark’s stories are powerful and his characters are not only well developed, but each seem to stem from an unquestionable understanding of mankind’s sheer will to overcome not only deep inner struggles, but they always make tough choices that drive some incredibly unique plot lines. His writings explore a subconscious level of the human condition few realize, as well as personal triumphs of the human soul.
Mark is also a trained Cinematographer. His vision and work behind the camera takes us on visually stunning journeys into the aesthetic worlds that ride the fence of reality and fantasy. Mark operates on a very unique plain, a world full of metaphoric drama, imagination and sacred purpose. His style of writing and shooting action sequences is often first person taking the audience on an ultimate thrill ride of mystery, intrigue, and adventure. It’s clear there is a greater meaning behind each and every character, word, and image.
"Storytelling, film-making, and sheer creativity is my passion. The stories I write explore the very core of life’s true meaning of complex relationships, the unimaginable, and often things we don’t like to talk about. My scripts are usually non-linear with plenty of subtext and metaphors; it is the revelation of what is behind the words that I'm after.”
Midwest born, Mark began writing in the early 1990’s and has honed his craft of storytelling with 4 full length features. He is a firm believer in “writing what you know” which stems from his background in everything from undercover operations, surveillance, private investigations, executive protection details, and critical infrastructure for homeland security and various agencies in the Los Angeles area including the Major Fraud Division of the LA District Attorney's Office and the Consumer Protection Section of the LA City Attorney's Office.
Since obtaining his Masters degree in Film and forming 4 Minute Mile Productions, Mark wrote and directed a successful feature film, worked on several other features and short films, and directed many music videos, all while gaining the respect and admiration of all the crew and talent who worked on the production.
Mark Andrews loves a challenge and thrives on the creative process. He treats each project with the same energy, creativity, and respect to the overall vision, whether working on a large scale feature film, or a small production web content video. Mark consistently brings a level professionalism, creativity, inspiration, and fun to every set he is on.

“Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”
– Andrei Tarkovsky
